Our daughter and son each attended Wellington for three years. As an elementary principal, I know how important it is for children to be academically, socially and emotionally ready for kindergarten. Wellington creates a warm and welcoming environment where students can learn through play. Scootter and her team guide the students using their natural curiosity and imagination. My children have the opportunity to wonder, create, investigate and learn in a community of friends. Scootter's passion for her career comes across in her clear communication with parents and her patience with students. Most important to me - my kids are loved! My daughter started Spanish immersion kindergarten confident and ready. I have no doubt my son will be just as ready when the time comes. I will never be able to express how thankful I am for Wellington's role in our family.

We were fortunate enough to have had our son spend a full year at The Wellington Preschool. "Wonderful" and "relieving" are words that we often use to help describe our experience meeting Scootter and her supporting staff. From a parent's perspective, curriculum and scheduled activities are absolutely important, but having someone you trust is everything when they care for your children and with everyone at TWP, trust was there from the very first interaction.

There is no place I love more than Wellington Preschool. Scootter and the other teachers feel more like partners in raising my children than just their teachers. They provide so much love, guidance, and support to the children and I can honestly say that finding Wellington has been the greatest gift to parenting and I've told Scootter many times at this point that she makes parenting easier! She sees so much beauty in all the children and her love and light is reflected to them every moment of every day with every interaction. I LOVE the Wellington preschool so much and can't recommend it enough to every parent in Portland.

We live in the Sabin Neighborhood, but we make the drive to Wellington Preschool everyday because the quality of care and learning is so great! This is our 5th year with the school, going on 6th year with our daughters. The school teaches the kids the soft skills, and encourages exploring art, music, dance and nature. Wellington Preschool has been amazing for our son! The teachers truly LOVE the children and treat them with so much respect while making it a fun and super positive environment. They inspire curiosity, kindness, friendship and creativity. When our son had challenging behaviors, Teacher Scootter approached the situation with open communication, respect and ideas for problem solving. We are truly lucky to have found this school! Years ago, my In-laws and my son were playing at a park and noticed how amazing these preschool teachers were interacting with the students. I cannot recommend Wellington Preschool and its exceptional teachers more highly. The love and care that my child has received from Teacher Scootter and Teacher Jesse is above and beyond what I ever hoped for; they are truly wonderful people who clearly love and adore their students and their jobs. My child learns so much and regularly shares interesting conversations they've had in circle time and facts he's learned, and I regularly see the kindness they model and teach reflected back in my child's behavior.
