Influences

When we built The Wellington Preschool, we listened to the experts; Parents, Early Childhood Educators and Primary School Teachers. This is what they recommended:

 

• A combination of: Small group play, Large group activities, Free play, Art, Sensory activities

• Blocks/Construction/Large motor activities

• Lots of art projects, community art if possible

• Imagination! Kids have the most amazing imagination; provide opportunities for them to explore!  

• Small Manipulatives: Puzzles, lacing activities, small blocks, scissors and Lego's 

• Children starting school ideally should understand how to solve their social issues  

• Encourage their curiosity and ways to explore

• Teach them how to ask questions

• Teach them to understand their role in community, whether it is at home, in the classroom or in the neighborhood

Our goal at The Wellington Preschool is to make sure our children have opportunities every single day to learn something new and grow to become their best selves.
